Friends of the Earth Europe is the largest grassroots environmental network in Europe, uniting more than 30 national organisations with thousands of local groups. Their Brussels office coordinates the network’s joint campaigns, and pushes for action by the EU to protect people and planet. Friends of the Sea Otter

Friends of the Sea Otter was an advocacy group working with state and federal agencies to maintain protection for sea otters and to increase and broaden preservation efforts. FSO also served to educate the public at large about the otters' unique behaviour and habitat. In 2020 they merged with Defenders of Wildlife who continue the work to protect and restore the sea otter populations along the Pacific coast.

The Pró-Tamar Foundation focuses on the conservation of marine species in Brazil. The work of the FPT teams aims to recover the populations of four species of sea turtles: olive, hawksbill, loggerhead and leatherback turtles, in addition to the green turtle in Fernando de Noronha (PE) and Trindade (ES).
