Blue Voice is an ocean conservation organization founded in 2000 by Hardy Jones and Ted Danson, with the mission to protect dolphins, whales and other marine mammals, and to raise popular awareness about the plight of the oceans. After Harvey Jones died in 2018, the Hardy Jones Rapid Response Fund was created in his memory as a dedicated fund to support front-line activists and campaigners by the speedy disbursement of funds from time to time. Amongst other activities, they document transgressions against marine life on film.
Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute

The Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute (BDRI) is an independent research and educational centre dedicated to the understanding and conservation of cetaceans (dolphins, porpoises and whales) and the marine environment in which they live. Founded by the biologist Bruno Díaz López in Sardinia, Italy in 2005, in 2014 the BDRI opened a new facility in Galicia, Spain. Their mission has a strong educational component, to expand the public's knowledge and concern for the marine environment, and add to the knowledge base of bottlenose dolphins and other species of cetaceans through scientific publications of collected and analysed field data.

Bracenet describes itself as a upcycling company. Alongside several partners such as Ghost Diving and Healthy Seas, they collect ghost fishing gear from the ocean floor, and transform this lost or discarded waste into useful products, in the process raising considerable funds for marine conservation projects. Initially known for their Bracenet bracelets, their range now includes other jewellery, bags, key chains, dog leashes, camera accessories, amongst others. Their motto: 'Save the seas, Wear a net'.
Breathe Conservation
South Africa
Breathe Conservation aims to promote ocean conservation, working on initiatives to educate and take action on sustainable conservation solutions. This includes drawing attention to the problem of marine plastic pollution. Their educational focus is on schools, predominantly primary schools. Amongst other campaigns, they organize monthly reef clean ups at Vetchies beach in Durban where the public ‘interact with marine life and see first hand the damage that plastic pollution has on our marine life.’ Their current project, with star swimmer Sarah Ferguson, One Ocean Swim: Durban to Cape Town, is aimed at highlighting the need for conservation of the oceans. Other initiatives include new programmes such as their Marine Guide Development project starting in June 2022 supported by Oceans Alive.
Buccoo Reef Trust
Trinidad and Tobago
The Buccoo Reef Trust (BRT) was specifically created to assist the government and communities in addressing the threats facing Tobago’s marine environment and to explore opportunities for the sustainable development of marine tourism, fishing and aquaculture in the Southern Caribbean region. BRT has successfully implemented education, research and coastal zone management programmes throughout Tobago, supporting its aim of building capacity in marine sciences that will enable governments, resource managers and stakeholder and the general public to make informed decisions on how best to interact with and use the region’s marine resources.

What started in 2013 as a local youth movement saying NO to plastic Bags, has expanded dramatically. From its foundation by two young sisters in Bali, BBPB has become an international movement. BBPB Teams have launched in over 50 locations across the globe and the founders share their message on stages around the world in front of global leaders. In 2021 there are BBPB bases in Indonesia, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, Myanmar, Australia, Spain, Greece, Algeria, Egypt, Denmark, Germany, Mexico, Hong Kong, UK, Nigeria, France, New Zealand, South Korea, China, Singapore, Tanzania, Peru and Qatar. A remarkable achievement.
C3 Philippines
Philippines
C3 Philippines established its first field station in the Calamianes islands in 2011, focusing on conserving the endangered dugong. It is considered the national lead agency for research and management of the species. C3 has successfully implemented a community-run dugong and seagrass conservation programme which involves local fishers enforcing bans on illegal fishing gear, assisting with Marine Protected Area management and monitoring and feeding back information on dugong sightings to the NGO.

CEBSE focuses on conservation and sustainable development within the area of the proposed biosphere reserve in Samana Bay, in the Dominican Republic, a programme involving community participation and education, sustainable development, conservation of biodiversity and inter-institutional co-ordination and support.
CETUS Research and Conservation Society
Canada
Cetus Research & Conservation Society is a marine conservation organization, founded in 2005 to address the increasing danger to British Columbia's killer whales as a result of human activity. Operating in the waters around Victoria, Quadra Island and Alert Bay, BC, they focus on one of the three key contributors to killer whale endangerment, namely vessel traffic disturbance, working in the field to protect whales and other marine mammals from harassment and harm. They aim to promote respect for the marine environment through on-the-water and land-based education, outreach and direct monitoring activities.

CMARA aims to improve marine animal rescue, research and outreach on behalf of the Canadian public for the conservation of marine wildlife. CMARA is chaired and coordinated by the Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) and is governed by the national steering committee (NSC) which guides the actions and administration of the Alliance. The regional response networks are Newfoundland and Labrador, Maritime provinces, Quebec, and British Columbia.
