Reef Relief is dedicated to improving and protecting coral reef ecosystems. Focus is on: rigorous science to educate the public and advocacy toward policymakers to achieve conservation, protection, and restoration of coral reefs; increasing public awareness of the importance and value of living coral reef ecosystems, via education and ecotourism; increasing scientific understanding and knowledge of living coral reef ecosystems; strengthening grassroots community-based efforts to protect coral reef ecosystems; designing and implementing strategies for marine protected areas associated with coral reef ecosystems.
