Description

Marine research, Marine conservation awareness and education

With over 15 years of experience in marine research, education and outreach and six years on the island of Eleuthera, CORE is involved in community education and capacity building in north Eleuthera. Their mission is to involve Bahamian students and communities in the research process which is aimed at understanding of ecologically sensitive habitats that ultimately promotes the conservation of biodiversity. Their education programs promote the ecological significance and consequent conservation value of both marine and terrestrial ecosystems. Current projects include marine pollution, impact of acidification, shark monitoring, amongst others. Jan 2023: website inaccessible (expired).
